About Us
On Cinco De Mayo (5th of May), Americans of Mexican descent celebrate the iconic Battle of Puebla, where Mexico's General Ignacio Zaragoza Sequín's under-manned army triumphed over the well-armed French military. This prevented the French from further interfering in the Civil War of the United States, which was taking place at the same time. Today, we celebrate the Battle of Puebla to acknowledge the solidarity of Mexicans and Americans, as well as to celebrate the historical richness of Mexican American contribution to this great nation.
Mission:
To educate, promote and strengthen a culture of inclusiveness showcasing the diverse talents, artistry, and contribution of the Latino communities.
